Breguet has unveiled a new addition to its iconic Type XX Chronograph collection, the Type XX Chronograph 2067. This release brings a civilian model crafted in gold, adding a fresh look to the renowned aviation-inspired line.
Following the fourth-generation Type XX models launched in June 2023, the 2067 blends modern materials with classic design, making it stand out.
The Type XX 2067 is inspired by Breguet's history of crafting aviation watches. Gold was used in very few early Type XX models, with only three examples produced in 1955. These rare models inspired the design of the 2067.

The new version features a rose gold case with a blue ceramic ring on the bezel. This combination of gold and ceramic is a first for Breguet, adding a sleek, modern touch to the classic Type XX design.
The 42 mm case is paired with a blue sunburst dial that mimics the shades of the sky at sunset. The dial is also fitted with three counters: a 15-minute counter at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, and running seconds at 9 o'clock. Each counter is a different size to make the dial easier to read.
The Arabic numerals and hands, along with the triangle on the bezel, are coated in a white luminescent material, ensuring that the watch is easy to read in all lighting conditions. There is also a discreet date window between 4 and 5 o'clock.

At the heart of the Breguet Type XX 2067 is the Calibre 728, a self-winding movement introduced in 2023. This movement comes with Breguet's well-known flyback chronograph function, allowing the user to reset and restart the chronograph with a single press of the pusher at 4 o'clock. This feature is especially useful for pilots. The movement runs at a high frequency of 5 Hz, ensuring exceptional precision, and offers a 60-hour power reserve.
The movement also features advanced technology for added durability. The silicon balance spring and silicon horns in the escapement reduce wear and ensure smooth operation. The vertical clutch system guarantees that the chronograph starts without any delay, giving users confidence in its accuracy.

The Type XX 2067 water resistance of up to 100 meters (10 bar) makes it suitable for daily wear, even during sports or outdoor activities. The chronograph pushers are easy to operate, with the pusher at 2 o'clock starting and stopping the chronograph. The pusher at 4 o'clock resets it with the flyback function.
The watch comes with two interchangeable straps: a midnight blue alligator leather strap and a NATO fabric strap. Both straps have 18K gold pin buckles and are designed for easy swapping, allowing you to change the look of the watch without needing any tools.

Breguet ensured that the Calibre 728 movement is as visually stunning as the rest of the watch. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, revealing fine craftsmanship such as the blackened gold oscillating weight shaped like an aircraft wing. This weight is engraved with the Breguet logo, adding a touch of elegance to the watch's mechanical heart.
Breguet's Type XX collection has deep roots in aviation. In 1954, Breguet was commissioned by the French Air Force to create a chronograph with a flyback function, allowing pilots to reset and restart the chronograph with one push. This feature saved time during flights and is still a signature feature of the Type XX models today.
