Inspired by the iconic pulse-raising 911 S/T 2.4 from 1970, the 2024 911 S/T is a 518 hp sensation that celebrates the 911's 60th anniversary, a monumental landmark for one of the world's most revered car series.

So, what sets the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T apart, and why might it capture your interest?

Case

Reflecting the ethos of the 911 S/T, the lightest model in the 911 series, the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T's case, along with the pushers and crown, are crafted from uncoated and sandblasted titanium. This delivers elegance, weight savings, and durability. With that in mind, it's worth noting that Porsche Design, founded by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1972, was among the first to use titanium in commercial timepieces, so there's a back story to it.

The case back, adorned with a seven-layer anti-reflective sapphire crystal, offers a glimpse into the meticulous movement beneath while showcasing a central Porsche crest. Engravings on this backplate detail key identifiers such as "Porsche," "Swiss made," the watch's unique reference number, and a "Titanium" label.

The case is paired with either a black or brown leather strap featuring a symmetrical hole pattern or a titanium strap with a folding clasp. Both options utilize a quick-change mechanism for effortless customization.

Dials and Subdials

A matte black base recalls the simple yet highly legible instrument displays of the iconic 911 S/T, while white and green indices contrast beautifully against the backdrop. The minute scale, glowing in phosphorous green, has a bold red "60" at the hour mark, honoring the 911's 60th anniversary.

The day display offers German and English, with dates highlighted in green, while the minutes and hours hands are crafted from white ceramic Super-LumiNova. Drawing inspiration from its racing heritage, a gear shift diagram is subtly placed between 1 and 2 o'clock — showcased in silver for the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T and gold for the Heritage edition.

With a price tag of $13,500, the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T, mirroring the car it complements, is limited to 1,963 pieces, paying homage to the inaugural year of the first 911.

For those that swear by the 911, the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T is not just a watch; It is a marker of 60 years of automotive excellence and the brand's evolving craftsmanship in watch design.
