Aston Martin Valiant - A more aggressive AM Valour

Aston Martin has unveiled its latest creation from its bespoke Q by Aston Martin division. The track-focused but road-legal Valiant. The limited-edition car is based on the Valour, introduced last year as part of the company's 110th anniversary. The Valiant is a more aggressive and agile version of its predecessor.
According to Aston Martin, F1 driver Fernando Alonso's personal commission resulted in the development of the car. The 2-time F1 champion had requested a more aggressive version of the Valour and collaborated with the Q team in the car's development. Anyone familiar with Alonso's exploits on the race track will be excited by the prospect of driving a car he helped design.
Adopting some 3D printed parts in the quest for weight savings and a state-of-the-art suspension system, the Valiant is set to take a spot in the line of iconic special edition cars from the marque.

In yet another confirmation that the V12 engine just isn't ready to die yet, under the hood, the Valiant boasts a formidable 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine. It is capable of delivering 734 hp and 753Nm of torque.
Unlike many modern supercars that opt for automatic transmissions, the Valiant has a six-speed manual transmission, providing purists with the tactile and engaging driving experience they crave.

The Aston Martin Valiant is a testament to the brand's commitment to elegance and performance. The car's all carbon-fiber body's aerodynamic silhouette is accentuated by sharp lines and a sculpted body that exudes aggression and sophistication. The front fascia features a bold grille and headlights that exude the aura of a muscle car. At the rear is a distinctive diffuser, 3D printed rear subframe, and intimidating titanium quad exhaust outlets that won’t go unnoticed on track day.
The Valiant rides on 21-inch forged magnesium wheels wrapped in high-performance Pirelli P Zero tires. These tires are specifically designed to offer superior grip and handling. The car also has carbon ceramic brakes to ensure optimal braking times while on the track.

Step inside the Aston Martin Valiant, and you will be greeted by an interior that epitomizes race-bred functionality and tasteful design. Aiming to optimize weight savings, the Q team used a generous amount of carbon fiber and lightweight upholstery in the interior.
Given the car's track focus, the bespoke Recoro Podium seats are complimented with a steel half-cage with an anchor point that can be used for a 4-point harness. These are standard features.

The steering wheel is unique to the Valiant. It has a slim diameter and spokes with no buttons. This ensures that the driver isn't distracted by any steering wheel controls.
The transmission tunnel has an eye-catching cutaway that exposes the manual gearbox's operations. The H-pattern shifting, which maximizes the gearshift precision, is emphasized with a bespoke spherical gear knob.
The Aston Martin Valiant is set to make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. It will go on the traditional hill climb with Fernando Alonso at the wheel. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2024.
