Maserati has introduced a new version of the GranCabrio Folgore. The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello is the first special version of the all-electric luxury convertible. The Italian marque crafted the bespoke car to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tignanello wine, made by the world-renowned winery Marchesi Antinori. The wine is one of the most esteemed red wines on the market.
Maserati carefully researched the wine and collaborated with Marchesi Antinori to ensure a befitting end product with a clear affiliation with the wine it celebrates. It epitomizes the fusion of tradition, innovation, and craftsmanship.
The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello will be auctioned at the Napa Valley Festival's 'Arts for All Gala', a leading arts charity event, on July 14.

The One-of-one model also commemorates the 110th anniversary of Maserati and reflects the rich heritage of Marchesi Antinori, a family-owned winemaker with over 600 years of history.
The car features a unique Terra di Tignanello paint inspired by the Tignanello vineyard. It is a chestnut hue with coppery burgundy tones reminiscent of the vineyard's soil and wine barrels.
The rims and calipers are finished in matte and gloss black, respectively, with copper emblems adding a touch of elegance. The soft top is made from black fabric, complementing the overall aesthetic.

Inside, the car boasts luxurious seats made from Vegea, a sustainable fabric derived from vineyard materials, featuring a multi-material silver and burgundy ribbed weave. The pattern aims to emulate the appearance of Tignanello Hill's rows of vines.
Dark briar wood with laser-engraved details adorns the panels, echoing the Tignanello wine barrels, while the headrests combine the Maserati Trident with Tignanello's distinctive sun symbol.
The central tunnel features the dates 1971-2021, marking the 50th anniversary of Tignanello. These clear but subtle elements cement Maserati's intention to associate the car with the red wine.

Marchesi Antinori is one of Italy's oldest and most esteemed wineries. It has a rich history dating back to 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Guild of Winemakers. Over 26 generations, the Antinori family has continuously pushed the boundaries of winemaking, blending innovation with tradition.
Today, the winery is led by Albiera Antinori, supported by her sisters Allegra and Alessia, and their father, Piero Antinori, is serving as Honorary President.
Tignanello is a groundbreaking wine introduced in 1971. It was the first Sangiovese aged in barriques and one of the first red wines from Chianti Classico to omit white grapes. This innovative spirit parallels Maserati's ethos, making the collaboration between the two brands a perfect celebration of Italian excellence.
