Maserati is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its legendary MC12 with the release of two special series vehicles: the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda. These models honor Maserati's rich racing history and its triumphant return to competition in 2004 after a 37-year hiatus.
The MC12 holds a revered place in Maserati's history. Launched in 2004, it marked Maserati's return to the racetrack with resounding success. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the MC12 was powered by a Ferrari-derived V12 engine.

Only 50 road versions of the MC12 were produced, making it a highly coveted collector's item. The MC12 GT1 version was particularly successful, securing 27 victories in the FIA GT Championships between 2004 and 2010, including three wins at the 24 Hours of Spa.
Building on this illustrious history, Maserati introduces the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda, both limited to 20 units each. These special editions are based on the MC20, which was launched in 2020 as the first model equipped with the innovative Nettuno engine.

The MC20 heralded a new era for Maserati with its blend of cutting-edge technology and high-performance engineering.
The MC20 Icona pays tribute to the MC12 Stradale with its striking Bianco Audace Matte and Blu Stradale livery, reminiscent of the Maserati Trofeo Light that competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona. The vehicle features exclusive elements from Maserati's Fuoriserie Personalization Program, including the Bianco Audace Maserati Fuoriserie logo and the Italian flag on the doors.

The chrome-plated wheels with Trident design, blue brake calipers, and carbon fiber engine cover enhance its distinctive appearance. The interior of the MC20 Icona is equally impressive.
It features lightweight 4-way monocoque racing seats with Nero/Blu on a silver background, Trident embroidery on the headrest, and "Icona" branding. These create an ambiance of refined luxury and performance.

The MC20 Leggenda draws inspiration from the MC12 GT1 used by the Vitaphone Racing team. It features a striking Nero Essenza and Digital Mint Matte livery celebrating the MC12 GT1's legacy.
The Leggenda includes trident wheels in Nero Lucido with Nero Opaco, black brake calipers, and Trident Digital Mint hubcaps.
Inside, the car continues its homage with lightweight 4-way monocoque racing seats in Nero on a silver background, Trident embroidery on the headrest, and "Leggenda" branding. These perfectly blend historical significance with cutting-edge design.
The MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda are equipped with the powerful V6 Nettuno engine, featuring F1-derived technologies for respectable performance. Shared features include the sophisticated Sonus Faber sound system and the carbon fiber interior package, adding style and weight reduction.
Each model features exclusive badging on the engine cover, reading "ICONA. UNA DI 20" or "LEGGENDA. UNA DI 20", underscoring their limited-edition status.
The Icona and Leggenda are not just cars but tributes to Maserati's illustrious racing heritage. These limited-edition models combine historical reverence with modern innovation, embodying the spirit of the MC12.
For enthusiasts and collectors, the Icona and Leggenda represent a unique opportunity to own a piece of Maserati's legacy.
