Pershing 6X - An Ideal Cruiser

Announced at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021, the Pershing 6X is one of the latest entrants into Pershing's Generation X line. A line that's geared toward buyers hungry for style, comfort, and speed. A beauty, the 6X, as is the case with many of Pershing's boats, is a collaboration between Ferretti Group and Italian design house Fulvio De Simoni. The result? A boat that gets a lot right.

While it's not as small as the 5X, the 6X is still quite nimble measuring 18.94 meters in length and 4.80 meters in width. The advantage of the smaller size is that the Pershing 6X is able to zip through waves with ease and should get you wherever you're going in record time.

Aft Platform

Given how small the aft platform is, you won't be spending most of your time here, but that doesn't mean it's not a functional space, nevertheless. Along with the mandatory hydraulically-operated swim platform, the Pershing 6X's stern comes fitted with a garage capable of holding a Williams Turbojet 325 tender.

Main Deck

A pair of stainless steel gates welcome you to the boat's spacious cockpit that comes fitted with a huge sun pad in the stern. A little forward, an L-shaped sofa with a foldable coffee table sits port side while a fully equipped wet bar occupies the starboard area. A sliding glass door separates the cockpit from the lounge area. Upon stepping into the lounge, you'll immediately realize how well-lit it is. With 360 degrees of glazed surface, the lounge is filled with lots of natural light, a theme common with Pershing's X generation line.

A huge U-shaped sofa spans the entire port side offering more than enough space for relaxation on the inside. Starboard, a couple of storage compartments sit stern while the boat's solitary helm station comes equipped with a pair of seats and monitors further forward. A pair of walkways each either side of the lounge lead to the front deck. Equipped with a pair of large sunbeds, the Pershing's bow is the perfect place to enjoy some sun and solitude.

Lower Deck

Heading downstairs, you'll find three guest cabins. Each with an ensuite of its own, the cabins come in a wonderful contemporary design and are furnished with lots of natural light thanks to the Pershing 6X's incredibly large hull glazing. The master suite is located amidship and features a large bed, a sofa, plenty of storage compartments, and of course, an ensuite bathroom. The VIP suite lies bow while a twin cabin and a fully equipped galley sit between the master and VIP cabins.

Engine and Performance

Built for top-notch performance, the Pershing 6X comes powered by a pair of MAN V12 engines. These produce a combined 1,550hp, enough to give the 6X an impressive top speed of close to 48 knots and a cruising speed of 42 knots.

While it's not the most spectacular X-generation Yacht money can buy, the Pershing 6X is still a very good option nonetheless. With its sleek, stylish design and top-notch performance, the Pershing could be the most well-rounded boat in its class and shouldn't be overlooked by those looking for the perfect sub-20 meter yacht.
