Riva 76’ Perseo Super - Improving a classic

Stepping in for its much-loved predecessor, the 76’ Perseo, the Riva 76’ Perseo Super takes all the things we loved from the Perseo and sprinkles some contemporary goodness to bring a sporty and compact yacht that many will love.

A collaboration between Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Italian design house Officina Italiana Design, the 76’ Perseo Super measures 23.25 meters in length and 5.75 meters in width to deliver a respectable 40-square-meters of glazed surfaces in the hull and superstructure.

The yacht oozes Italian excellence in its profile, featuring lines and curves that we’ve grown to expect from Riva’s sport-fly range and leaving an impression of a performance boat that excels at the luxury side of things too.

Exterior

Offering plenty of room for relaxation and socializing, the boat’s cockpit area houses a sofa and a dining table for eight in the aft. Buyers can choose to add a drawer refrigerator under the seating area, or they can opt to convert both for a spacious sun pad.

From the cockpit, a wood and steel staircase leads to the boat’s sundeck. Here, a four-square-meter sun pad, along with a forward-facing sofa and a helm station armed with a 16-inch touchscreen monitor, take up all the space.

A walk forward to the bow reveals a front-facing sofa with a large sun pad ahead of it, which together provide a neat and private space for relaxation and, of course, sunbathing. The boat’s mooring gear is expertly hidden from view, a decision that the company says is meant to preserve the yacht’s beautiful lines and profile.

The boat’s stern area features a retractable swim platform that can be lowered into the water in its entirety, while the nearby garage can hold a 3.25-meter tender. A second toy on the swim platform and two Seabobs in the garage can are additional options.

Interior

On the main deck, a modern and luxurious salon is outfitted with a sofa, a coffee table, a dining area with an L-shaped sofa, and a table for eight. The boat’s helm station is neatly tacked away in the salon’s forward right corner.

The helm station comes equipped with two seats and three 16-inch touchscreens that provide access to the integrated controls and the yacht’s monitoring and navigation systems. Alternatively, buyers can opt for three 19-inch touchscreens along with an advanced maneuvering joystick.

The standard version of the 76’ Perseo Super comes furnished with sand-colored oak as the dominant wood option, matched with light and dark lacquer, along with polished stainless steel detailing. If this wood featuring is not to an owner’s tastes, then swapping to Rosewood is possible by buyer request.

On the lower deck, three cabins, each with a bathroom of its own, a beautiful but small lounge area, and a mini-kitchen take up all the space. An optional fourth cabin with two single beds and a bathroom is available, too.

Engine and Performance

As standard, the Riva 76’ Perseo Super comes powered by two MAN V12 V-engines rated 1,550mhp each. These give the boat a cruising speed of 28 knots and a top speed of 32 knots. Buyers can upgrade to a pair of MAN V12 engines rated 1,800mhp apiece, ramping up the boat’s cruising speed to 32 knots and top speed to 37 knots.

As options, the yacht can be fitted with an AVENTICS maneuvering joystick, which, among other things, improves handling in confined waters, and a Seakeeper NG18 stabilizer which helps minimize rolling when anchored.

Offering luxury, performance, and an abundance of next-gen technology, the 76’ Perseo Super has quite a number of things going for it, which not only makes it the yacht to beat, but also are a testimony to the traditional boat-building prowess of the company, spanning as far back as 1842.
